Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations resonate through the darkness." The plot presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an unique katana in addition to several artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This patch also brings the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
